Migration Review Tribunal

Any decisions that the Delegates of the Minister (Case Officers) make in the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) can be reviewed and appealed. Merits review is an administrative reconsideration of a case. A merits review body makes decisions within the same legislative framework as the primary decision maker, and may exercise all the powers and discretions conferred on the primary decision maker.

Has your visa application been refused or your visa been cancelled?

How it works

Any decisions that the Delegates of the Minister (Case Officers) make in the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) can be reviewed and appealed. Depending on the visa that you have applied for, you can make the application for the review of decision to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

These reviews are conducted independently from the DIBP and often presents a better opportunity to the applicants because our skilled and experienced lawyers will represent you in person. If you feel that your visa refusal, or cancellation was wrongly decided and want to review the application for the decision, please contact us as soon as possible.

No Borders has assisted many clients in having negative decisions overturned at the Migration Review Tribunal and are available to review your refusal letter to determine whether you may have an opportunity for a positive outcome through a Tribunal appeal. Please review our recent successful appeals.

We highly recommend seeking professional advice in migration law specialists to secure your rights and increase your chances of success.
